Profile
Dr. Madhu Anand
Dr. Madhu Anand is an environmental toxicologist and analytical chemist currently serving as Manager (R&D) at the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) Science & Research Centre, Ahmedabad. There she supervises scientific officers and leads laboratory quality management and NABL compliance.
With over fifteen years of research experience in toxicology, she has published 26 papers spanning human toxicology, target-enzyme interactions, environmental monitoring, and health-risk assessment. Her work centres on environmental toxicants — organochlorine pesticides, heavy metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons — and the oxidative stress and health risks they pose to exposed populations, particularly women and children.
Earlier, with the Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh, she contributed to the formulation, review, and reporting of funded research projects across the medical and chemical sciences.
